{"id":2468,"date":"2016-05-21T15:55:18","date_gmt":"2016-05-21T13:55:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.agriturismosangallo.com\/en\/escursioni-in-mountain-bike\/"},"modified":"2016-08-25T17:15:05","modified_gmt":"2016-08-25T15:15:05","slug":"mountain-bike-excursions","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.agriturismosangallo.com\/en\/mountain-bike-excursions\/","title":{"rendered":"Mountain bike excursions"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"wpb-content-wrapper\">[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]\n<h1>Mountain bike excursions<\/h1>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;20px&#8221;][vc_column_text]The agrotourism is found in a perfect position for those who love trekking on foot or by mountain bike.<\/p>\n<p>We are found, in fact, on one of the most well known itineraries of the area:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Montepulciano \u2013 Montefollonico (7 km \u2013 lasting 2 hours)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Departing from the San Gallo Agrotourism, you have the possibility to start off along the itinerary immersed in the typical Tuscan hillside landscape, among olive trees, vineyards, finally arriving at the charming medieval hamlet of Montefollonico.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Those well trained and passionate about trekking can follow a ringed itinerary route of around 50km, that departs from Montefollonico passing through the towns of San Quirico d\u2019orcia, Pienza and Monticchiello, and then returns to Montepulciano.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Nobile Route (18.3 km \u2013 lasting 1h 30 mins.)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>The Nobile Route takes its name from Vino di Montepulciano and its route runs along the side of the hills that host the vineyards and olive groves. Departing from Montepulciano, from the Piazza Sant&#8217;Agnese a few steps from the entrance gate to the historical centre. Skirting the Tempio di San Biagio, a Renaissance masterpiece by Antonio da Sangallo the Elder, that overlooks our agrotourism, arriving at Lake Montepulciano, along the Bonifica path.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For the excursionists interested there is a pleasant stop in the nature area within a wood which is also equipped with tables for a picnic.<br \/>\nThe association <b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cerrobike.altervista.org\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cerro Bike<\/a><\/b>, which has collaborated with the project and realization of the route, organizes excursions along the route and other paths around this marvellous Montepulciano<\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>The Reclaimed Land Path &#8211; La Bonifica (65 km )<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p><b>The Bonifica Route <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sentierodellabonifica.it\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.sentierodellabonifica.it<\/a><\/b><\/p>\n<p><strong>A beautiful cycling\/hiking itinerary from the Chiusa dei Monaci, to the gate of Arezzo, finally arriving at Chiusi Scalo, skirting the Canale Maestro della Chiana, the various hydraulic works for the drainage and the lakes of Chiusi and Montepulciano, for a total distance of around 65km.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For a brief bike ride within the estate, the agrotourism puts at your disposal our own mountain bikes. If you are instead passionate excursionists, there are numerous organizations, such as CICLOPOSSE in Pienza, <b><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cicloposse.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">www.cicloposse.com<\/a><\/b>, which offers mountain bike hire, baggage transport and return by small bus. For a splendid independent trip or with a professional guide we can indicate various itineraries possible according to your physical preparation.<\/p>\n<p>There are many itineraries possible.
