Montepulciano is the land of one of the most famous Italian reds called the VINO NOBILE, since the 15th century in the Court of  Lorenzo de' Medici.

Disciplined by the DOC in 1966,this wine regained its prestigius position among the great Italian reds, thanks to the DOCG recognition in 1980 and to a series of great vintages.

As for the Brunello, the Sangiovese assumed special qualities in Montepulciano, giving life to a variety called "prugnolo gentile" - delicate scent. It is this very grape, which provides the base of the bland, together with contribution from other local vines, such as canaiolo, mammolo,ciliegiolo, pulcinculo, other vines with red berries among these authorized in the province of Siena, and small proportions of white grapes.

Agriturismo San Gallo produces Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, Rosso di Montepulciano and Chianti Colli Senesi with its own vineyard.

In the last two years we plant  30.000 new grapes.
